The mental health charity Mind suggests strong links between poor sleep and mental health and anxiety. Floating has been scientifically proven to have a greater and longer lasting impact on anxiety than other therapeutic interventions, and to reduce the activation of stress systems in the brain and body.

And so, it is no surprise that many of our customers report having much better sleep after a session – even if that’s not what they came to float for in the first place.

This is a great time to float for those suffering from acute sleeping problems, but irrespective of the time of day, regular floating will result in a lower baseline level of anxiety and stress, which is a powerful sleep aid.

Some reasons for poor sleep are within our control - like drinking too much coffee, and using our phones in bed. Others like stress, anxiety and pain, are less so.
